Petrol and high-speed diesel prices cut slightly – Check new rates
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority issued a notification detailing the revised prices for petroleum products.
Petrol price reduced
The petrol price has been cut by 58 paisa per litre. After the reduction, petrol will cost Rs342.02 per litre.
The small decrease comes as part of the latest revision in petroleum product prices. The new rate has been set for the specified period by the authorities.
Diesel price also cut
The price of high-speed diesel has been reduced by 17 paisa per litre. Its new price has been fixed at Rs371.44 per litre.
The reduction is smaller than the cut in petrol prices. Both changes have been included in the latest OGRA notification.
New rates take effect
The Petroleum Division has issued the notification for the revised petroleum prices from August 29 to August 31. The new rates will apply during this period unless the government announces another change.
The latest cuts provide a small reduction in fuel prices for consumers. However, the decrease is limited, so its direct impact on household and transport costs is likely to be modest.
The new prices will remain important for motorists and businesses because fuel costs affect transportation and the prices of many goods and services.
