Launch announcement
Chery Master Pakistan is preparing to launch the Chery Tiggo 7 PHEV in the country. This will mark its entry into the C-segment plug-in hybrid SUV market.
Expansion strategy
The company is expanding its locally assembled new energy vehicle lineup. It aims to build a stronger position in Pakistan’s growing SUV market.
CKD model plan
The Tiggo 7 PHEV will be introduced as a completely knocked down model. Deliveries are expected to start by June 2026 depending on bookings.
Hybrid technology
The SUV is based on Chery’s fifth-generation Super Hybrid system. It combines a 1.5-litre turbo engine with an 18.3 kWh battery and hybrid transmission.
Power and performance
The vehicle produces 255 kW which equals 342 horsepower. It also delivers 525 Nm torque and can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds.
Electric range advantage
The company claims more than 90 kilometres of pure electric driving range. The total combined range can exceed 1,200 kilometres on a full setup.
Daily and long drive use
The SUV is designed for both city driving and long journeys. It can reduce fuel cost by over 70% when used mostly in electric mode.
Safety and features
The Tiggo 7 PHEV comes with eight airbags and Level 2 ADAS safety system. It also offers a 24.6-inch dual display, Sony sound system and V2L feature.
Market timing
The launch comes at a time when fuel prices are rising in Pakistan. Hybrid options in this segment are still limited which makes this model important.
Company network
Master Auto Engineering is handling Chery operations in Pakistan. The company already has dealerships and after-sales services across the country.
Booking details coming soon
Pricing and booking details will be shared at launch. Early deliveries may be prioritised due to possible policy changes for hybrid vehicles.
This SUV could attract people who want to save fuel money. If price stays reasonable, it may compete strongly with petrol cars.
