(Web Desk): Solar system users in Lahore are seeing relief as lithium battery prices have fallen by Rs20,000 to Rs100,000.

Lithium battery prices fall in Lahore

Solar system users have received good news as lithium battery prices have dropped significantly in Lahore’s market. The decline has reduced the overall cost of installing solar systems for consumers.

Market sources said prices of lithium batteries used in on-grid, hybrid and off-grid solar systems are continuing to fall. The price cuts are making solar systems more affordable for households and businesses.

Major price cuts in battery market

According to market sources, the price of a 5-kilowatt lithium battery has fallen from Rs250,000 to Rs230,000. Meanwhile, the price of a 16-kilowatt battery has dropped from Rs750,000 to around Rs650,000.

Prices of different types of lithium batteries have decreased by between Rs20,000 and Rs100,000. The decline has created more interest among consumers planning to install solar systems.

Solar panels also become cheaper

Along with lithium batteries, solar panel prices have also been showing a declining trend in the market. Lower prices are encouraging more consumers to consider installing solar systems.

The trend is particularly important for users looking to reduce their dependence on conventional electricity. Lower equipment costs can make the initial investment in solar energy easier for consumers.

Demand for hybrid and off-grid systems rises

Demand for hybrid and off-grid solar systems has also increased following changes to the net metering policy. Consumers seeking alternative electricity arrangements are increasingly using lithium batteries to store solar power.

Market sources said falling prices of solar panels and lithium batteries have reduced the initial cost of solar systems for both households and businesses. If prices decline further, demand for solar products could increase further.

Falling battery and panel prices are making solar systems more affordable. The growing interest in battery-based systems also shows that consumers are looking for more options to manage their electricity needs.
