New car prices after Budget 2026-27 - check BYD EV rates
The update has created curiosity among buyers watching electric vehicle costs in Pakistan.
Duty-free limit and tax structure for EVs
The proposed policy on imported electric vehicles states that completely built-up EVs for personal use will remain duty-free up to Rs20,000,000. Vehicles priced above Rs20,000,000 and up to Rs30,000,000 will face a 30 percent duty, while those above Rs30,000,000 will be charged 40 percent duty.
Why BYD prices remain unaffected in Pakistan
BYD’s current lineup in Pakistan stays unaffected because all models are priced below the Rs20,000,000 duty-free threshold. This means the new duty structure does not impact their existing market prices.
BYD Atto 2 and Atto 3 prices unchanged
The BYD Atto 2 Premium continues to be priced at Rs7,290,000, while the BYD Atto 3 Advance remains at Rs8,990,000. Both models stay popular among entry-level electric vehicle buyers.
BYD Seal and Sealion 7 pricing details
In the premium segment, the BYD Seal Dynamic is priced at Rs14,790,000 and the Seal Premium at Rs16,990,000. The BYD Sealion 7 Advanced is also unchanged at Rs15,490,000, keeping its position in the mid-to-high EV category.
BYD Shark 6 remains under duty-free limit
The BYD Shark 6 Premium remains listed at Rs19,950,000, staying just under the duty-free limit. This positioning helps it avoid additional tax pressure under the proposed structure.
Market impact and future outlook
Overall, the budget change mainly targets higher-priced imported EVs, not BYD’s current range. Market stability for BYD suggests steady demand in Pakistan’s growing EV segment. Buyers may still see future changes if new models enter higher price brackets.
