(Web Desk): Motorcycle prices increased due to rising production and fuel costs in Pakistan. The decision is expected to impact buyers already facing inflation pressure.

United Auto Industries announced the price hike, saying it tried to keep prices stable earlier. However, rising petrol and raw material costs made it difficult to continue at previous rates.

Price increase across bike models

The company has increased prices across several motorcycle models. The hike ranges between Rs3,000 and Rs5,000 depending on the engine category.

According to details, 70cc and 100cc motorcycles have seen an increase of Rs3,000. Meanwhile, 125cc models have become costlier by Rs5,000.

When will new prices apply

The revised prices will come into effect from April 11, 2026. These new rates will apply to all bookings made from that date onward.

The company said the decision was taken after carefully reviewing market conditions. Rising input costs were a major factor behind the increase.

Metro e-vehicles also become expensive

Pak Star Automobile has also increased prices of its Metro e-vehicle lineup. The company linked the decision to higher operational and fuel-related costs.

All Metro e-vehicle models have been increased by Rs5,000 with immediate effect. This change applies to all new orders placed from April 3.

Reasons behind the price hike

The company highlighted rising sea freight charges and logistics costs as key reasons. Transportation from Karachi port to factories and dealerships has become more expensive.

It also noted that higher petroleum prices have added pressure on overall costs. This left little room for companies to absorb expenses.

Impact on customers and dealers

Dealers have been instructed to collect the updated prices from customers. Payments must include the additional amount over previous rates.

Buyers may now face higher costs when purchasing motorcycles and e-vehicles. This could affect demand in the coming weeks.

This increase may slow down bike sales in the short term. Many buyers could delay their purchases. If costs keep rising, prices may go up again. The market situation still looks uncertain.
