Changan launches Nevo Hunter REEV in Pakistan, reveals price and features
The company describes it as the world’s first REEV 4×4 truck. The pickup combines an electric powertrain with a range-extender engine and all-wheel drive. Changan says it can cover more than 900 kilometres using its combined fuel and electric systems.
Powerful engine and long range
The Nevo Hunter REEV uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with an AWD system. It produces 322 horsepower and 529 Nm of torque, while a 31.18 kWh battery provides a claimed electric range of 131 kilometres under the NEDC cycle.
The pickup has a 70-litre fuel tank to support longer journeys. Changan says the combined range of more than 900 kilometres gives drivers greater flexibility where charging facilities may be limited.
Built for roads and off-road travel
The vehicle measures 5,380mm in length, 1,980mm in width and 1,920mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,180mm and offers different driving modes for various road and terrain conditions.
Regular modes include Eco, Comfort, Sport, Traction and Custom. Off-road settings include Snow, Mud, Sand, Crawl, Towing and Off-road, giving drivers more options for difficult surfaces.
Features and safety
The Pakistan-spec model comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen and a six-speaker audio system. It also features 50W wireless charging for compatible devices.
Safety equipment includes six airbags, ABS, EBD and traction control. The pickup also gets parking sensors and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Price and booking details
Changan is promoting the Nevo Hunter REEV around its combination of electric performance, 4×4 ability and SUV-like comfort. The company is using the tagline “Explore Your Freedom” to highlight its everyday, long-distance and off-road capabilities.
The introductory price of the Nevo Hunter REEV has been set at Rs10,990,000. The booking amount is Rs2,200,000, while the introductory price remains subject to terms and conditions.
The Nevo Hunter REEV gives Pakistani buyers another option in the growing electric and hybrid vehicle market. Its range-extender setup could appeal to drivers who want electric driving without depending completely on charging stations.
The 4×4 system and multiple off-road modes also make the pickup different from many conventional electric vehicles. Its final market response will likely depend on price, availability and real-world performance.
