The United States has carried out another attack on Iran, with Iranian media reporting multiple explosions across parts of southern and southeastern Iran.

Explosions were reportedly heard near Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island and areas surrounding the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. Iranian media said more than five blasts were heard near Masan village on Qeshm Island, followed by four additional explosions near the Strait.

Wedding Ceremony Hit

A major incident was reported near Sirik, where a US strike reportedly hit a wedding ceremony. Initial reports from Iranian media said 5 people were killed and more than 35 others were injured.

However, Iran's deputy governor gave a different initial figure, saying 2 people were killed and several others were wounded in the attack near the wedding gathering.

The conflicting casualty figures could not immediately be independently verified, highlighting the uncertainty surrounding the latest reports.

More Explosions Reported

Iranian media also reported explosions east of the southern port city of Bandar Abbas. Reports further claimed that US forces targeted Jiroft Airport in southeastern Iran.

The reported attacks come amid rapidly escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran, raising concerns about further military action across the region.

US Military Statement

The US military said its forces carried out strikes against positions belonging to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

The latest attacks are likely to increase regional tensions and could further raise concerns over security around the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global energy shipments.
