The United Arab Emirates has officially agreed to join the “Board of Peace” after accepting an invitation from US President Donald Trump, the country’s foreign ministry said.
In a brief statement, the ministry confirmed that President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan approved the move and is ready to take part in the board’s work.

The board was first presented as a body to oversee the rebuilding of the Palestinian territories. However, its charter does not clearly limit its role only to Gaza.

The UAE said it is prepared to play an active role in the board’s mission. The country aims to support wider cooperation, stability, and shared prosperity.
“Supporting greater cooperation, stability, and prosperity for all,” the foreign ministry said in its statement.
The acceptance places the UAE among the first countries to publicly back the US-led initiative, as global debate continues around the board’s purpose and structure.
