Tehran reviewing US proposal as Trump says had ‘very good talks’ with Iran
Speaking about the ongoing diplomatic efforts, Trump said, “It’s very possible we’ll make a deal,” raising hopes for a breakthrough amid rising tensions in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmaeil Baghaei, confirmed that Tehran is still reviewing a US proposal aimed at ending the conflict. According to Iran’s ISNA news agency, Iran will share its official response with mediator Pakistan after completing internal consultations. Reports suggest both sides are moving closer towards a memorandum that could help end the ongoing war and reduce regional instability.
At the same time, tensions continue to rise across the region. Israel carried out fresh airstrikes on Beirut, marking the first strike on the Lebanese capital since the ceasefire announced on April 17. Israeli attacks across Lebanon reportedly killed at least 13 people on Wednesday. Israeli forces claimed that one of the strikes targeted a senior Hezbollah commander in Beirut.

Hamas also strongly condemned Israel’s continued attacks on Gaza. The group described the daily bombings and increasing casualties as a “blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement” and accused Israel of continuing a “war of extermination” in Palestinian territory.
According to a regional source quoted by CNN, Iran is expected to deliver its official response to mediators on Thursday regarding the US proposal. Trump earlier stated that the US and Iran had held productive discussions during the past 24 hours, signalling possible diplomatic progress despite ongoing military tensions.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy also announced that safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz remains possible under what it called “new procedures”. In another development, the US military reportedly disabled an Iranian-flagged tanker in the Gulf of Oman after it allegedly attempted to move towards an Iranian port.
