B-Form in Pakistan: NADRA shares complete application guide
The authority has explained when and how children can get a B-Form in Pakistan.
The National Database and Registration Authority has advised parents to obtain their children’s B-Forms on time. It also urged families to renew the document whenever it expires.
According to NADRA, parents must register a child’s birth with the Union Council within 30 days of birth. After registration, the child’s first B-Form can be obtained from NADRA.
For children under three years of age, a photograph is not required for a B-Form. However, a photograph becomes mandatory if the child needs a passport after receiving the B-Form.
NADRA said fingerprints are not required for children under three years old. For children aged between three and 10 years, a photograph is compulsory for the application process.
Children between 10 and 18 years of age must provide both a photograph and fingerprints. Parents are also required to bring their Computerised National Identity Card number and the birth certificate or CRMS number issued by the Union Council.

NADRA clarified that children under three years old must be brought to the office if the B-Form is being issued for passport purposes. Children above three years of age must also visit the NADRA office to complete the B-Form process.
Citizens can also apply for a B-Form from home through the Pak ID mobile application. This option allows parents to submit applications without visiting a NADRA office.
According to NADRA, the normal B-Form fee is Rs50 and the document is issued within seven days. The executive B-Form costs Rs500 and is issued within one day.
NADRA’s latest guidance aims to help parents avoid delays in important documentation. Timely registration and renewal can make future processes such as passport applications much easier.
