Dallas (Web Desk): Iranian opposition figure Reza Pahlavi warned that negotiating peace with Iran’s current leaders may only delay threats to America and urged Iranians to protest.

Reza Pahlavi, son of Iran’s former Shah, addressed the Conservative Political Action Conference in Texas, receiving a standing ovation. He promised to support efforts to liberate the Iranian people, drawing cheers from conservatives and Iranian Americans.

Pahlavi criticized Iran’s current rulers, saying any deal with them would be temporary. “The remnants of this regime will only buy time, cheat and steal,” he said, warning that they would return to threatening the US.

Citing President Trump’s earlier statements on Iran, Pahlavi emphasized that negotiations with the regime could lead to repeated security threats. He presented himself as a potential leader of a transitional government and expressed readiness to return to Iran after 47 years in exile.

However, Iran’s opposition remains divided, and Trump has expressed doubts about Pahlavi’s ability to lead, suggesting insiders might be better suited.

Pahlavi linked his cause to US interests, arguing that a free Iran could shift from hostility to cooperation, offering major economic opportunities. During the speech, Iranian Americans in the audience chanted “long live the king.”

He reiterated that he would call for nationwide protests at the right moment to reclaim dignity, freedom, and the future of the Iranian people.
