(Web Desk): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announces new school timings with morning assemblies, moral education, and strict enforcement to improve discipline and learning.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued a new timetable for public schools, ordering strict implementation to enhance educational discipline and academic standards across the province.

According to officials, primary school students will now report to school at 7:30 a.m., with classes concluding at 1:35 p.m. each day. The morning assembly has been made mandatory and will include moral training, speeches, and practical activities to encourage student engagement and character development.

The Department of Education has instructed schools to dedicate three days a week to student speeches and three days to sketch-based moral education. Additionally, the final working day of each week will feature a “Bazm-e-Adab” (literary gathering) to promote cultural and literary knowledge among students. After these gatherings, the last three periods will be reserved for teacher meetings and completion of registers.

In cases of teacher absence or extended leave, school heads and subject specialists are required to take classes, ensuring continuity in learning.

The KP government’s initiative reflects a broader effort to standardize education in public schools, provide structured learning environments, and cultivate well-rounded students prepared for academic and personal growth.
