(Web Desk): Pakistan says PM Shehbaz Sharif will support President Trump’s Gaza peace plan at the Washington peace board meeting.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will support President Donald Trump’s proposed peace plan during the upcoming Gaza Peace Board meeting in Washington.

Speaking at a session of the United Nations Security Council focused on Palestine, Dar highlighted what he described as Israeli brutality in Gaza and repeated ceasefire violations. He said Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s actions and stressed that the ceasefire must be respected in full.

Dar termed Israeli aggression a violation of international law and called for an immediate and lasting ceasefire. He emphasized that reconstruction in Gaza and the provision of humanitarian aid are urgent needs, warning that the humanitarian crisis continues to worsen.

The deputy prime minister also underlined the importance of diplomacy based on mutual respect for achieving lasting peace. He said the central role of the Palestinian Authority is essential in any future political arrangement and added that no solution can be viable without respecting the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination.

Dar further condemned any attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza, calling such actions unacceptable.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in the United States to attend the Gaza Peace Board meeting. During his visit, meetings with US leadership and other global leaders are expected, as Pakistan seeks to push for peace, reconstruction, and a durable political solution to the conflict.
