Ms. Rachel matches Macklemore's $1 million pledge for Palestinian children
American YouTuber Ms. Rachel has pledged $1 million to Palestinian children, matching a donation announced days earlier by rapper Macklemore.
The educator, whose real name is Rachel Accurso, is best known for her early-childhood learning videos that have drawn a vast global audience of toddlers and parents. She announced the pledge on Instagram, saying the money would go to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, a charity that arranges medical care and humanitarian support for children in the region.
In her post, she urged other wealthy and influential figures to step forward and contribute, framing the appeal as a direct call to those with the means to help.

Her announcement followed Macklemore's decision to donate the $1 million he earned from Ed Sheeran's tour to organisations working with Palestinians. The rapper was removed from the tour after making statements in support of Palestine. Several other supporting acts subsequently withdrew from the tour in solidarity with him.
Ed Sheeran and businessman Robert Kraft have separately announced a combined $2 million for humanitarian relief.
The chain of pledges has drawn attention to how public figures are responding to the humanitarian situation, and to the pressure artists face when they speak on the issue. Ms. Rachel has previously used her platform to highlight the conditions facing children in Gaza, drawing both praise and criticism.
The Palestine Children's Relief Fund has not yet issued a public statement on the donation.
