Major fire erupts at UAE’s Fujairah oil complex after Iran drone strike
The incident has raised fresh concerns over regional security and energy safety. The fire erupted at the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone, a major energy hub on the eastern coast of the United Arab Emirates. Authorities said the facility was targeted by a drone launched from Iran.
Emergency civil defense teams were quickly deployed to the site. Officials said efforts are still underway to control and extinguish the fire.
No confirmed information has been released yet about casualties or the level of damage caused by the blaze. Authorities are continuing to assess the situation on the ground.
The incident came shortly after the UAE Defense Ministry reported detecting four cruise missiles launched from Iran toward the country. Air defense systems were activated immediately in response.

Officials said three missiles were intercepted over territorial waters, while the fourth fell into the sea. The ministry confirmed most threats were successfully stopped before impact.
Regional tensions have been rising after military strikes involving the United States and Israel against Iran earlier in the year. These developments triggered retaliatory actions across the region.
Following the escalation, Iran responded with strikes targeting Israel and US allied Gulf countries. This also contributed to disruptions in key maritime routes, including the Strait of Hormuz.
A ceasefire had previously been announced through mediation efforts, but the latest incident has raised doubts about its stability. Earlier diplomatic talks were held in Islamabad but failed to produce a long-term agreement.
Officials say the situation remains highly sensitive as investigations continue. Security forces are on alert following repeated missile and drone activity in the region.
The attack on a major oil facility shows how quickly tensions can turn into real damage. Energy hubs in the Gulf remain highly exposed during ongoing regional conflict.
