Iran warns regional countries over US or Israel use of their territory
Iran warns regional countries against allowing US or Israel to use their territory as tensions with Tehran and Western powers continue to rise. In a statement shared on the social media platform X, the ministry strongly condemned recent US actions, calling them a violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.
Iran said previous incidents, including a helicopter crash, were being used as a pretext for attacks against the country. It added that its armed forces have the right to defend the nation and respond to threats.
The ministry urged regional states, especially those near the Persian Gulf, to prevent their territory from being used for planning or supporting attacks against Iran. It warned that Iran would not hesitate to exercise its right to self-defence if necessary. Officials also said Iranian forces had already targeted US military bases in the region and would continue to respond to any aggression that threatens national security.

The statement called on the United Nations to hold the United States accountable for what Iran described as military aggression. It also reiterated that any country assisting the US or Israeli operations would be considered hostile. Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also warned the United States in a post on X, urging it to leave the region. He said Washington was testing Iran’s resolve despite setbacks.
He further stated that Iran’s armed forces would respond to any attack without hesitation and would not leave any threat unanswered. Araghchi added that Iran is fully prepared to deliver a strong response to any future aggression, signaling an even tougher stance amid rising regional tensions.
