(Web Desk): Iran’s Revolutionary Guards has seized 2 ships in Strait of Hormuz, raising fresh tensions and concerns about global trade routes.

Guards announced that two ships have been taken into custody in the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route. The move has sparked questions about safety and stability in the region.

According to French media reports, both ships were shifted to Iranian shores after being seized. The vessels are named MSC Francesca and Epag Menonodas.

Iranian officials said the ships were taken due to violations of maritime rules. They also claimed the vessels had links with the “Zionist government”.

Officials added that both ships were operating without proper permission. They were repeatedly breaking navigation rules and even altered their tracking systems.

Iran warned that strict monitoring will continue in the Strait of Hormuz. Any violation of rules or unsafe movement will face legal and strong action.

On the other hand, Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf gave a strong statement. He said a complete ceasefire is only acceptable if there is no naval blockade.

He warned that if ceasefire violations continue, reopening the Strait of Hormuz will become impossible. This could create serious challenges for global trade.

Qalibaf also said the ceasefire will only work if economic pressure on the world is stopped. He stressed that ending war tensions is necessary for real peace.

He added that recognizing Iran’s rights is the only way forward. He warned that attempts to control the global economy are damaging peace efforts.

This move may increase tension in the region. It can affect global trade routes quickly. If the situation worsens, oil supply may be impacted. Talks and diplomacy will be very important now.
