Hajj sermon urges unity, truth and patience as pilgrims perform sacred rituals in Arafat
During the Hajj sermon delivered at Masjid-e-Nimrah, Imam of Masjid al-Nabawi ﷺ Abdulrahman Al-Hudaifi emphasized the importance of faith, unity, and moral conduct, urging Muslims to maintain a strong connection with Allah for salvation.
He said that nations which engaged in injustice and ingratitude had their blessings taken away, stressing that the relationship between Allah and His servants is the true path to deliverance. The Imam called upon believers to remain firmly attached to their Creator and to avoid any actions that could weaken unity among Muslims.
He strongly advised pilgrims to stay away from disputes, fighting, and all forms of behavior that could harm harmony during the sacred journey. He also urged them to speak the truth at all times and avoid false statements, backbiting, and religious innovations.
The sermon highlighted that Hajj pilgrims should dedicate themselves to remembrance of Allah, continuous prayer, and seeking forgiveness throughout the pilgrimage. He reminded them that the essence of Hajj lies in patience, discipline, and spiritual purification.
The Imam also explained the sequence of Hajj rituals, noting that after completing their stay in Arafat, pilgrims proceed to Muzdalifah and then Mina, while continuing worship and supplications at every stage.
He further instructed pilgrims to perform all rituals in the best possible manner, maintain discipline, and uphold the sanctity of the holy journey.
The sermon concluded with a reminder that prayer should remain constant throughout Hajj, reinforcing faith, humility, and devotion as central pillars of the pilgrimage experience.
