Unknown motorcycle riders open fire
Mudh Sindhu was shot at around 6pm on Saturday in Amritsar, in the Indian state of Punjab, according to police. The two unidentified attackers reportedly arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire and fled the scene.
Sindhu suffered serious gunshot injuries and was being taken to hospital when he died on the way. Police are collecting evidence from the crime scene and working to identify and arrest the suspects.
Police investigate possible motive
Investigators are examining different aspects of the case to determine why the influencer was targeted. They are also reviewing Sindhu’s personal and professional life, along with his social media connections.
Police have said it would be too early to confirm the motive before the investigation is complete. Officials are continuing to gather evidence to establish what led to the killing.
Social media post claims responsibility
After the killing, a post appeared on a Facebook account named Goldy Dhillon, claiming responsibility for Sindhu’s murder. Police have included the post in their investigation to determine whether it came from the attackers or a group connected to the crime.
Account holder also under investigation
Authorities are gathering information about the Facebook account and the people behind it. Investigators are checking whether the claim is genuine or an attempt to mislead the public.
Police have not confirmed the authenticity of the online claim or established who was responsible for the killing. The case remains under investigation as officers work to identify the suspects and establish the motive.
The killing has raised questions about the safety of social media personalities and the possible reasons behind the attack. The Facebook claim may offer a lead, but its authenticity must be verified before responsibility can be established.
