During his speech, he strongly criticized the current government. He said people are facing problems like poor health services, fertilizer shortage, and rising inflation.
He claimed that under the name of smart meters, citizens are being harassed. He also said electricity bills are increasing sharply, and people believe corruption is behind higher meter readings and rising costs.
He further alleged that commissions are taken even before contracts are awarded. He added that this burden is ultimately passed on to consumers through higher bills.
Taking a dig at the ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party, he said electricity meters work like EVM machines and can be manipulated. He claimed expensive electricity and gas will lead to the government’s downfall.
