(Web Desk): Trump secret flight in Turkiye concealed his location after an alleged Iranian threat, officials say.

US media report that President Trump left Turkiye on a secret military plane after an alleged Iranian threat to his safety. He was briefly seen on the older Air Force One jumbo jet in Ankara, then moved to a smaller Air Force C-32A using a catering truck to hide his whereabouts. The move aimed to keep his location from the public, some journalists and some White House staff.

The operation followed renewed US strikes on Iran and came during a NATO summit in Ankara where world leaders met. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung defended the security steps, saying the gifted Qatari aircraft now used as Air Force One has strict safety systems. He said the US uses every tool available because ‘many enemies of America have their sights on him’.

News of the secret transfer and rising tensions helped push oil prices higher. Brent crude rose and US oil benchmarks also jumped as markets worried about more military action and continued disruption to shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. Reports said attacks hit a Saudi refinery and a tanker over the weekend, adding to supply concerns.

Trump kept the option of a “massive escalation” against Iran on the table. He also demanded Iran pay compensation for damage he said had happened over the past 50 years. He claimed US forces control the Strait of Hormuz but admitted Iran could try to disrupt shipping and occasionally lay mines.

Trump repeated claims about Iranian violence and losses, and urged that Iran pay reparations for deaths and damage across the region. Some figures he cited are disputed. Human rights groups and other sources have given different numbers, and some historical attacks blamed on other groups were linked by Mr Trump to Iran in his remarks.

The secret flight and threats add pressure on the US administration as high fuel prices and the war‘s unpopularity affect voters. Critics say the moves show the limits of US strategy in the region and underscore how fragile talks over the strait and a ceasefire remain.

How the transfer was done

Reporters say Mr Trump appeared on the large Air Force One plane for cameras, then was moved to a smaller C-32A minutes later. Officials used a catering truck to hide the transfer. The tactic was meant to mislead observers and protect the president from a possible assassination plot.

What this means for oil and security

Markets reacted quickly to the news and to Mr Trump‘s warnings about escalation. Any further military action or continued blockade of shipping lanes could push oil prices higher and worsen global inflation. Regional partners and shipping companies are watching closely.
