Authorities in Toronto have launched a major investigation after a shooting outside the United States Consulate General Toronto early in the morning triggered a high-security alert.
According to foreign media reports, the gunfire incident occurred outside the US consulate building located in downtown Toronto. Police officers quickly responded after receiving emergency calls and discovered multiple bullet casings and clear evidence of gunfire at the scene.
Suspects Flee After Firing Multiple Shots
Preliminary investigations suggest that two unidentified suspects arrived in a white vehicle, exited the car, and fired multiple rounds toward the consulate building before fleeing the scene.
The attack caused partial damage to the building’s entrance and glass windows, but authorities confirmed that no injuries have been reported.
Investigators believe the suspects deliberately targeted the diplomatic facility, raising serious concerns about security around foreign missions.
