US Congress backs Pakistan’s peace diplomacy
An important resolution has been introduced in the United States Congress praising Pakistan for its diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions between Iran and the United States and supporting regional peace.
The resolution was presented by Congressman Al Green, who described Pakistan as a neutral and credible mediator at a time of rising uncertainty in the region.
According to the text of the resolution, Pakistan played a constructive diplomatic role during a sensitive and dangerous period of confrontation. It said the crisis had created large-scale human suffering, displacement of civilians and heavy economic pressure with wider global consequences.
The American lawmaker said Pakistan took meaningful steps to help lower tensions and encouraged dialogue as the preferred path for resolving disputes. He noted that efforts focused on diplomacy remain especially important when the risk of escalation continues to grow.
In his statement, Al Green said countries and individuals working for peace deserve recognition during times marked by war and humanitarian hardship. He added that Pakistan’s role as an impartial partner serves as a reminder that diplomacy remains one of the most effective tools for solving international disputes.
He further said appreciation for Pakistan’s efforts sends a broader message to the international community that negotiations and peace should be given priority over conflict and destruction.
Political observers say growing international recognition of Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement could strengthen Islamabad’s standing on the global stage and increase diplomatic pressure across the region.
