Meta introduces new subscription system ‘Meta One’
The company says the Meta One service has more than 50 features across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and its AI products. More than 15 million subscriptions and trials have been recorded so far.
The Meta one subscription is aimed at regular users, heavy AI users, creators and businesses. It combines several existing paid services while adding greater access to advanced tools.
The company says Meta AI will remain available for everyday use without a subscription. However, paid users will receive higher limits and access to additional creative tools.
What do users get?
Under the new system, Instagram Plus offers features such as custom fonts for messages and Stories, selected Story-view notifications and DM previews.
Meanwhile, Facebook Plus includes additional customization options, more Reels insights and expanded Super Reactions.
WhatsApp Plus also offers exclusive themes and icons, special-effect stickers and the ability to pin more chats. Meta says it plans to test additional backup storage and Focus Schedules for the service.
The new AI features are another major part of the subscription. Users can create and edit more images, generate videos and use creative tools such as Restyle more frequently.
The expanded Meta AI access is particularly aimed at people who regularly use AI for creative work. Some of these tools are powered by Meta’s Muse models.

How much does it cost?
Meta has also provided details about Meta One pricing.
The Core bundle costs $7.99 per month, while the Premium plan costs $19.99 per month. Individual services are priced at $3.99 per month for Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus, while WhatsApp Plus costs $2.99 per month in the US pricing listed by Meta.
The Meta One pricing structure also includes plans for creators and businesses. The Essential plan starts at $14.99 per month, Advanced at $49.99, Expert at $149 and Max at $499.
Meta says prices and available features can vary depending on the region, app and account.
The Meta one subscription also gives creators and businesses access to professional tools, including enhanced profiles, publishing options, analytics and greater access to Meta Business Agent.
Will Meta apps become fully paid?
The company has stressed that Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are not becoming completely paid services.
The everyday Meta AI experience will also remain free. The subscriptions are designed to provide additional features and higher usage limits rather than remove access to the basic services.
The move suggests that Meta is creating a paid layer around services that users have traditionally accessed for free.
The AI features could become particularly important for creators who regularly generate images, videos and other content.
The Meta One system is also expected to expand to products such as Edits and Meta’s AI glasses, giving the company more ways to connect its subscription services across its growing technology ecosystem.
