Tech giant Google has launched the new Nano Banana 2 model, a powerful AI image generation system designed to produce high-quality visuals at much faster speeds than before.
The company first launched Nano Banana in August 2025 to generate millions of images in Gemini app and later launched Nano Banana Pro in November to generate high quality and more detailed images.
Nano Banana 2 combines the advanced abilities of Google’s previous Nano Banana models with a flash-speed engine, allowing much faster image generation and editing.
It uses real-world knowledge, improved text handling, and better control over details so users get images that match their requests more closely.
The model also supports high resolutions up to 4K and delivers sharper details, richer textures, and reliable text rendering inside images.
Nano Banana 2 is rolling out globally across Google platforms, including the Gemini app on mobile and desktop, Google Search and Lens, AI Studio, and the Gemini API.
