PTCL adds “bandwidth” to alleviate internet slowdown
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): In a move to resolve the internet slowdown issue, the Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has taken an important initiative.

The PTCL has added ‘additional bandwidth,’ to alleviate the internet disruption issue caused by AA-1 submarine cable outage. However, the company cautioned that some users could still face issue with Meta-related services, including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, during peak hours.

According to reports, the Ministry of IT and Telecom, in collaboration with the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and PTCL, is overseeing the situation for provision of efficient services by addressing issues regarding outages.

The telecommunication company, PTCL appreciated the patience of its customers during this time. It assured that efforts were underway to fully resolve the internet outages.

Last week, PTCL said that its team was working diligently to address the issue.

“Due to an international submarine cable outage, you may experience slow browsing issues. Teams are working diligently to resolve the matter as soon as possible,” PTCL said in a statement.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during this time,” it added.
