(Web Desk): Apple has revealed plans to unveil a foldable iPhone in 2026 with a crease-free display, raising the bar for future foldable devices.

Apple is reportedly on track to launch its first foldable iPhone in the second half of 2026, featuring a breakthrough “crease-free” inner display, according to several industry analysts.
The long-rumored device often referred to as the “iPhone Fold” will utilize a custom display designed by Samsung Display, which incorporates laser-drilled metal plates from Fine M-Tec to manage folding stress and reduce visible creases. In addition, Apple is reported to be using liquid metal hinges, a design choice aimed at improving durability and screen flatness.

According to supply chain analyst Ming Chi Kuo, the foldable iPhone will sport a 7.8-inch internal display and a 5.5-inch outer screen. For user authentication, Apple may ditch Face ID in favor of Touch ID built into the side-mounted power button, possibly due to space and thickness constraints.
Visually, the iPhone Fold will open horizontally and expand into a device that resembles a small iPad. When closed, the device will reportedly look like two iPhone Air models stacked together. Reports suggest the device will have a titanium frame, making it both strong and lightweight and measure around 4.5 mm when unfolded and 9-9.5 mm when folded. With mass production expected in the latter half of 2026, Apple seems ready to challenge existing foldable phones with a polished, crease free design.
