He is known for his key roles in the car company Tesla, the space company SpaceX and for buying Twitter and rebranding it into X. All of his ventures have helped him secure the top spot on Forbes’ coveted Billionaire’s list.
On X, Musk humorously discussed the idea of time travel and adopting different identities across centuries. The conversation began when a fan of Musk shared a modified image of the Tesla CEO in a cloak, paired with the caption: "What if Elon Musk is actually a time-traveling vampire alien who’s building Starship to return to his home planet?"
Musk saw the post and responded jokingly: “I mean… yeah ofc.” The fan then posted a screenshot from Musk’s X account, noting that it’s been verified since 3,000 BCE. Musk replied once more, adding to the joke: “See, this proves that I’m a time-traveling vampire alien!" He continued, "Even though I’m 5,000 years old, I think I look much younger."
Some fans, knowing Musk’s love for memes, asked him to share funny ones from 5,000 years ago. He responded with one about the Egyptian pyramids.
While Musk has yet to perfect time travel, he recently made bold claims about the future of air travel. He suggested that a 30-minute flight between the UK and the US could be feasible under Donald Trump’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Musk also proposed that SpaceX s Starship could take passengers anywhere on Earth in under an hour.
This comes after Trump, the president-elect, revealed Musk would co-lead the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), strengthening their recent partnership. Trump remarked that Musk and American entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy "will lead efforts to dismantle government bureaucracy, cut unnecessary regulations, eliminate wasteful spending, and overhaul federal agencies."
In addition to his earthly endeavors, Musk is planning to land humans on Mars by 2026 and believes over a million people could inhabit the Red Planet within 30 years. However, a scientist recently criticized Musk’s space goals, warning that they could potentially "ruin the planet."
