Peshawar Zalmi dominate Islamabad United with massive PSL 11 win
The PSL qualifier saw Zalmi outclass Islamabad with both bat and ball. The match was played at the National Bank Cricket Arena where Islamabad United failed to chase a big target of 222 runs. The team was bowled out for just 151 runs, falling far behind the required score.
For Islamabad United, Sameer Minhas scored 44 runs and was the top performer. Mohsin Riaz made 25 while Devon Conway added 20 runs before getting out.
Other batters failed to perform as Haider Ali and Chris Green scored 8 runs each. Captain Shadab Khan managed only 6 while Mark Chapman scored 4 and Faheem Ashraf made just 1 run.
Imad Wasim contributed 22 runs but it was not enough to save the team. Richard Gleeson scored only 1 run, while Salman Mirza remained not out on 5.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Aaron Hardie took 3 wickets and led the bowling attack. Sufiyan Muqeem picked up 2 wickets, while Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Basit, and Michael Bracewell took one wicket each.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi batted first after being invited to bat and scored 221 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. The team built strong pressure with an aggressive batting display.
Captain Babar Azam played a brilliant innings, scoring 103 runs off 59 balls. His knock included 4 sixes and 12 fours, setting the tone for a big total.
Kusal Mendis scored 41 runs while Mohammad Haris added 35 runs before getting out. Their contributions helped Zalmi reach a strong total.
Other players like Aaron Hardie made 20 runs, while Michael Bracewell scored 2 runs. Abdul Samad and Farhan Yousuf were dismissed without scoring.
Iftikhar Ahmed remained not out on 3 runs and Khurram Manzoor stayed unbeaten on 4 runs. Their innings helped finish the match strongly.
For Islamabad United, captain Shadab Khan took 3 wickets. Salman Mirza and Faheem Ashraf picked one wicket each.
