(Web Desk): Peshawar Zalmi crushed Lahore Qalandars by 76 runs in PSL match, leaving fans stunned by a shocking batting collapse.

The match quickly turned one-sided after a strong Zalmi performance. In the match played at National Bank Cricket Stadium Karachi, Lahore Qalandars failed to chase the target of 174 runs. Their entire team was bowled out for just 97 runs in 17 overs.

For Lahore Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman and Abdullah Shafique scored 21 runs each. Sikandar Raza made 14 runs before getting out.

Other batters struggled badly as Obaid Shah scored 4 and captain Shaheen Afridi added only 5 runs. Haseebullah Khan made 3 runs while Muhammad Naeem and Usama Mir scored 1 run each.

Asif Ali was dismissed without scoring any run. Dunith Wellalage showed some resistance with 24 runs but could not save the team.

For Peshawar Zalmi, Sufiyan Muqeem and Michael Bracewell took 3 wickets each. Nahid Rana picked up 2 wickets while Sharif Islam and Aamir Jamal got 1 wicket each.

Earlier, Peshawar Zalmi batted first after being invited to bat. They scored 173 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.

Kusal Mendis played a brilliant innings of 74 runs off 48 balls. Captain Babar Azam supported well with 43 runs.

Michael Bracewell scored 21 runs while Muhammad Haris added 18 runs. Other players failed to contribute much in the innings.

Abdul Samad and Farhan Yousaf scored 2 runs each. Aamir Jamal got out without scoring while Iftikhar Ahmed made 7 runs and Sufiyan Muqeem remained not out on 1.

For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets. Mustafizur Rahman claimed 2 wickets while Obaid Shah and Usama Mir took 1 wicket each.

This match clearly showed the strength of Peshawar Zalmi’s bowling attack. Lahore Qalandars’ weak batting performance became the main reason for their heavy defeat.
