Pakistan fight back in Dhaka Test, need 152 runs to beat Bangladesh
Chasing a target of 268 runs at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, Pakistan suffered an early collapse as Imam-ul-Haq and captain Shan Masood were both dismissed for just 2 runs each.
Debutant Azan Awais, who impressed with a century in the first innings, also failed to stay long at the crease and was dismissed after scoring 15 runs, leaving Pakistan struggling at 21-3. Despite the poor start, Pakistan recovered through a calm and steady partnership, keeping their hopes of victory alive in the closely contested Test match.
Earlier, Bangladesh declared their second innings at 240-9 after resuming play at 152-3 on the final day. Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto played a strong innings of 87 runs, while Mominul Haque added an important 56 to strengthen his team’s position.

For Pakistan, Hasan Ali and Noman Ali claimed three wickets each, while Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up two wickets. Bangladesh had earlier secured a first-innings lead of 27 runs after scoring 413 in reply to Pakistan’s total of 386.
Pakistan’s biggest highlight in the first innings was debutant Azan Awais, who scored an impressive 103 runs and helped his side remain competitive in the match. The Test now heads toward a tense finish, with both teams still having a strong chance of victory.
