TEXAS: (Suno News) Pakistan will play their campaign opener of the T20 World Cup against the host United States (US).

The match between the two teams will be played in Dallas, and it will start at 8:30 pm according to the Pakistan Standard Time (PST). Babar Azam is leading Pakistan for the third consecutive T20 World Cup.

All-rounder Imad Wasim has been ruled out of Pakistan’s first match in the World Cup.

Skipper Babar Azam confirmed the unavailability of Imad Wasim for Pakistan’s campaign opener in the World Cup.

He said Imad Wasim is suffering from a side strain due to which he will not be able to play Pakistan’s opening match in the World Cup.

He, however, hoped the all-rounder would be available for the remaining matches.

Abrar Ahmed, Azam Khan, Abbas Afridi, Saim Ayub, and Usman Khan are making their T20 World Cup debut in this tournament.

On June 9, Pakistan will face traditional rival India in New York. Pakistan’s third match will also be in New York on June 11 against Canada.

Pakistan will play their final Group A match against Ireland in Florida on June 16.

If Pakistan qualify for the Super Eight stage, their three matches will be held from June 19 to 23 in Antigua and Barbados.
