Lahore Qalandars appoint Darren Gough as head coach for PSL 2025
LAHORE (Web Desk): Darren Gough, former England fast bowling star, has been named head coach of Lahore Qalandars for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10.

The franchise confirmed that England’s Darren Gough would be head coach of the Qalandars for the upcoming PSL edition. At 54, Gough returns to the Qalandars after guiding the team to the finals of last year’s Global Super League. His appointment adds a valuable international cricketing perspective to Pakistan s premier Twenty20 competition.

The Yorkshire cricket veteran brings a wealth of experience to the role, having set England s record for One Day International wickets during his playing career from 1994 to 2006. His leadership journey includes serving as England s bowling consultant in 2020 and as Yorkshire s Managing Director of Cricket.

"The PSL offers an exceptional platform with considerable talent in the Qalandars roster," Gough said following the announcement. "We aim to deliver competitive cricket this season with the support of our fan base."

Sameen Rana, the team director, highlighted that Gough s previous success with the franchise causes his appointment.

"His contributions during the Global Super League demonstrated his understanding of the team s culture," Rana added.
