(Web Desk): LPG price in Pakistan rises sharply amid Middle East tensions and Iran-related energy supply disruptions, increasing household fuel costs across local markets.

The LPG price in Pakistan has increased significantly as ongoing Middle East geopolitical tensions and instability linked to Iran have started affecting regional energy supply chains.

Market sources revealed that LPG price per kg in Karachi has risen by up to Rs30, pushing the domestic cooking gas price to nearly Rs330 per kg. The sudden price hike has added financial pressure on households already facing rising living costs.

Energy Supply Disruption Due to Middle East Conflict

Economic experts believe that the Middle East conflict situation is creating instability in global energy supply networks. Disruptions in supply chains are causing fluctuations in fuel and gas prices across regional markets.

The shortage in LPG availability has directly impacted the local Pakistani market, resulting in higher retail prices than the government’s notified LPG price of approximately Rs226 per kg.

Public Concern Over Rising Household Expenses

Citizens have expressed serious concern over the continuous rise in LPG prices, stating that cooking gas costs are becoming increasingly difficult to afford.

Analysts warn that if regional tensions continue, prices of other energy products may also rise, further increasing inflationary pressure on Pakistani consumers.
