(Web Desk): Punjab’s Chief Minister IT Internship Program will provide 30,000 IT graduates with Rs50,000 monthly stipend, including global certifications and private company subsidies.

The Punjab government has announced the Chief Minister IT Internship Program, aiming to support 30,000 IT graduates over the next five years. The program will provide selected interns with a monthly stipend of Rs50,000, while private IT companies hosting interns will receive a monthly subsidy of Rs12,500 per candidate.

Program Duration and Funding

The internship program is planned as a five-year initiative with a total allocation of Rs30 billion. Each selected intern will participate for four months, gaining hands-on experience in cutting-edge technology fields under the supervision of the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).

Centralized Internship Portal and Global Certification

A central internship portal will manage recruitment, onboarding, and monitoring of interns, ensuring a smooth and transparent process. The program also includes providing interns with internationally recognized IT certifications, enhancing their professional credibility in the global IT market.

Skill Development, Innovation Festivals, and Exposure

Selected interns will participate in technology expos, innovation festivals, and skill development events, giving them opportunities to showcase their projects and gain exposure to industry trends.

Officials say the program is designed to bridge the gap between academia and industry, create employment opportunities, and strengthen Pakistan’s IT workforce by providing practical experience alongside financial support.
