The Einstein Fellowship has officially opened applications for the 2026 intake, offering a fully funded fellowship in Germany for outstanding young thinkers from around the world.
The fellowship is jointly funded by the Einstein Forum and the Wittenstein Foundation. It allows selected fellows to spend five to six months in Germany developing an innovative project outside their previous field of research.
Participants will reside at Einstein Summer House in Caputh, Brandenburg, a historic residence once used by Albert Einstein.

Eligibility Criteria for Einstein Fellowship 2026

- Age limit: Under 35 years
- Must hold a university degree in:
- Humanities
- Social Sciences
- Natural Sciences
- The proposed research project must be different from the applicant’s previous academic work.
