Faisalabad set to host international cricket match after 17 years

FAISALABAD: (Web Desk) Faisalabad is set to host international cricket for the first time in 17 years.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is making plans to stage two T20I matches against Bangladesh at Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium next month.
As per sources, Bangladesh cricket team will tour Pakistan in the third week of May for a five-match T20I series. The matches are expected to be played on May 25, 27, and 30, followed by June 1 and 3.
It is important to note that Faisalabad, also known as Manchester of Pakistan, last hosted an international match on April 11, 2008, when Pakistan played an ODI against Bangladesh.
The PCB is mulling to host the first two matches in Faisalabad. The remaining three matches are likely to be played in Lahore.
