(Web Desk): Temperature is expected to remain above normal in many parts of Pakistan over the next few days, according to PMD weather alert.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hotter-than-normal weather in several regions of the country. The warning comes as temperatures are expected to rise gradually during the coming days.

According to the weather department, most parts of Pakistan are likely to experience hot and dry weather on Sunday. Similar conditions are expected on Monday, while southern districts may face extremely hot weather.

Weather experts say temperatures are likely to increase steadily between June 8 and June 12. In many plain areas, especially central and southern Punjab, Sindh, northeastern and southern Balochistan, and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, daytime temperatures may remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal.

In Islamabad and nearby areas, hot and dry weather is expected to continue during the next few days. Residents have been advised to take precautions during peak daytime hours.

Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to remain hot and dry. Lower districts may experience intense heat, although partly cloudy conditions could develop in Kohistan, Battagram and surrounding areas during the afternoon.

Punjab is likely to remain under the influence of hot and dry weather. Central and southern districts of the province are expected to face particularly intense heat conditions.

Across Sindh, hot and dry weather is forecast for most districts. Temperatures in Sukkur, Shikarpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, Mohenjo Daro, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Ghotki, Khairpur and Naushahro Feroze may remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal.

Most districts of Balochistan are expected to stay hot and dry as well. The weather department predicts that temperatures in Sibi, Turbat and Panjgur could also remain 4 to 6 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, dry weather is expected during the coming days. Temperatures in these regions are also likely to increase gradually.

The latest forecast has raised concerns about prolonged heat exposure. Health experts often advise people to stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day.

The forecast suggests that many parts of Pakistan could face a prolonged period of unusual heat. If temperatures continue rising, energy demand and water consumption may also increase.

The coming days will be important for residents in heat-prone areas. Taking simple precautions early can help reduce the impact of extremely hot weather.
