The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain in Islamabad and several other parts of Pakistan during the next 24 hours, while most plains are expected to remain hot and dry.

According to the department, the weather in Islamabad is likely to remain partly cloudy, with chances of rain at a few locations during the night. Officials said a weather system moving over the northern areas could bring light showers to nearby regions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the sky is expected to remain mostly cloudy. Rain is likely in several districts including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kurram, Khyber, Mohmand, Mansehra and Abbottabad, where scattered showers are expected.

The weather department said that in Punjab, conditions are likely to remain mostly dry, with warm temperatures during the daytime. However, some northern areas including Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree and the Galiyat region may receive rain during the night.
