Mojtaba Khamenei has been selected as the new supreme leader of Iran by the Assembly of Experts, marking a major leadership transition in the country.
The announcement was formally made during a public gathering at Vanak Square in Tehran, where officials confirmed his appointment. Mojtaba Khamenei is the son of the late Ali Khamenei and has now become the third supreme leader of Iran since the Iranian Revolution.

Officials emphasized that national unity is crucial at this time and called on citizens to support the new leadership to maintain stability in the country.
