Flight operations of Qatar Airways and Etihad Airways remained suspended at Islamabad International Airport on Monday, forcing the cancellation of several international flights.
According to airport sources, a scheduled Qatar Airways flight from Islamabad to Doha was cancelled due to the continued suspension of the airline’s operations. Passengers who were preparing to travel on the flight faced inconvenience after the sudden cancellation.
Similarly, a flight of Etihad Airways from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi was also cancelled. Airport officials said the airline temporarily halted its operations, affecting passengers traveling to the United Arab Emirates.
However, some other international airlines have resumed their services. Flights operated by Emirates, Air Arabia and Flynas have restarted and are now departing according to their normal schedules.
Airport authorities confirmed that these airlines restored their operations after a brief disruption and are currently operating regular flights from Islamabad to various international destinations.

Despite the cancellations, airport sources clarified that the overall situation at Islamabad International Airport remains stable. They said the operations of other domestic and foreign airlines are continuing without any major interruption.
Officials advised passengers to stay in contact with their respective airlines before heading to the airport to avoid inconvenience caused by sudden schedule changes.
Travelers affected by the cancelled flights are expected to be accommodated on alternative flights or provided further instructions by the airlines.
