Rain is expected in parts of northeastern Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir today, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

The weather department said scattered areas in these regions and nearby mountainous areas could receive rain after noon. The showers may provide temporary relief from hot weather but could also affect travel in vulnerable mountainous locations.

Flooding continues in Indus River

Meanwhile, a medium-level flood continues in the Indus River at Kalabagh. Water inflow at the location was recorded at around 398,000 cusecs.

Low-level flooding has also been reported at several major river and barrage points, including Chashma Barrage, Taunsa, Guddu and Sukkur.

The Flood Forecasting Division in Lahore said the water situation in other rivers across the country remains normal.

Authorities are continuing to monitor river levels as further rainfall in some areas could influence water flows.

Islamabad remains hot and dry

In Islamabad, the weather is expected to remain hot and dry, with partly cloudy skies. The maximum temperature is likely to reach 35°C.

Residents may experience continued warm conditions despite some cloud cover during the day.

Karachi may receive drizzle

In Karachi, the weather is partly cloudy and humid, with a possibility of light drizzle today.

According to the meteorological department, the current temperature in the port city is around 28°C.

Weather conditions are expected to vary significantly across the country, with rain in some northern and western areas while major cities such as Islamabad and Karachi continue to experience warm and humid conditions.
