The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a fresh alert, warning of more rain and strong winds in many parts of the country.
According to officials, rain is expected in Islamabad and nearby areas in the coming days. Similar weather conditions are likely in Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir, where continuous rainfall may also trigger landslides in hilly areas.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially upper regions, more rain is forecast. Areas like Swat, Dir, and Chitral are facing a higher risk, as rivers and local streams may overflow. Authorities have already issued a flood alert in these areas.
Meanwhile, hill torrents in Balochistan may also lead to flash flooding. Similar risks have been highlighted for Dera Ghazi Khan, where local waterways could swell due to heavy rain.
