(Web Desk): Fresh rain spell likely in many cities of Punjab and KP, bringing cooler weather till April 5.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast more rains across most parts of the country, with a new spell expected to continue until April 5.

According to the weather department, several cities in Punjab including Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum and Sargodha are likely to receive rainfall. Other areas such as Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Khushab and Gujrat may also experience showers.

Rain is also expected in Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Lahore, Okara, Kasur, Layyah and Bhakkar, indicating widespread wet conditions across the province.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy in most districts. However, rain is likely in northern areas including Chitral, Swat, Kalam, Shangla, Buner, Kohistan and Malakand.

Similarly, districts such as Mansehra, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi and Charsadda may also receive rainfall.

The “city of gardens,” Lahore, is also expected to witness rain today. Officials say the ongoing spell will help lower temperatures and improve weather conditions, but citizens are advised to stay cautious during heavy showers.
