(Web Desk): Punjab govt offers diesel subsidy and financial support to small wheat farmers to reduce rising fuel costs.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced a major relief package for farmers, aiming to support wheat growers facing rising fuel costs.

In a message shared on X, the chief minister said that farmers owning up to 25 acres of land will receive financial assistance. She revealed that a subsidy of Rs150 per litre will be provided on 10 litres of diesel per acre to help reduce cultivation expenses.

Maryam Nawaz explained that the increase in global oil prices has directly impacted petrol and diesel rates in Pakistan, putting extra financial pressure on farmers. She assured that the Punjab government stands firmly with farmers during this challenging time.

The chief minister further stated that she is personally monitoring the subsidy system to ensure transparency and effective delivery of benefits to every eligible farmer. She emphasized that farmers are the backbone of Punjab’s economy and deserve full support.
