Heavy rain expected in several Punjab districts

According to the NDMA weather alert, many districts of Punjab, including Rawalpindi, Murree, Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sargodha, Khushab, Jhang and Mianwali, are expected to receive rain with strong winds and thunderstorms.

The Pakistan rain forecast indicates that some areas may experience heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of urban flooding and water accumulation in low-lying areas.

Authorities have urged residents to remain cautious during the changing weather conditions.

KP, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK remain on alert

The NDMA weather alert also covers Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where Chitral, Swat, Dir, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Bannu and Waziristan are expected to receive rain and thunderstorm Pakistan conditions.

In Gilgit-Baltistan, including Skardu, Diamer, Astore and Hunza, officials have warned of possible glacier lake outburst floods due to continuous rainfall.

The flash flood warning Pakistan is particularly important for people living in mountainous regions.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Rawalakot, Bagh, Kotli and Mirpur, is also expected to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms.
