(Web Desk): Heavy monsoon rains have caused flooding, power outages and fatalities across Pakistan, with authorities warning of another three days of severe weather.

Heavy monsoon rains continued to lash several parts of Pakistan, triggering urban flooding, widespread power outages and fatal accidents as authorities warned that another strong spell of rain is expected over the next three days.

Lahore received the highest rainfall at Saggian with 60mm, followed by Upper Mall with 52.2mm and Lakshmi Chowk with 44.6mm. Several low-lying areas were inundated, disrupting traffic and daily life, while multiple electricity feeders tripped, leaving many neighbourhoods without power.

In Kasur, a house roof collapsed after continuous rainfall in the village of Dhang Shah, killing a seven-year-old child and a 60-year-old man, according to Rescue officials.

Heavy rain also affected Sargodha, Faisalabad, Pindi Bhattian, Gujranwala, Kharian, Muridke and Sarai Mughal. Roads in Faisalabad, including Samundri Road, Jhang Road, Jaranwala Road and Satiana Road, were submerged as water accumulated in low-lying areas.

Karachi also witnessed intense showers in several localities, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Saddar and Nazimabad. More than 100 K-Electric feeders reportedly tripped, causing electricity outages in multiple parts of the city.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said nine people died and 54 were injured in rain-related incidents over the past 24 hours. Since June 26, the nationwide death toll has reached 81, with 241 people injured.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a fresh three-day monsoon alert, warning of possible flash floods, cloudbursts, landslides and glacier-related hazards in northern regions. Authorities in Mansehra have also cancelled four festivals in Kaghan Valley until July 29 as a precaution.
