In Islamabad, hot weather is expected to continue during the day, with temperatures likely to climb to 38°C. However, the PMD has forecast rain and thunderstorms in the evening, which could provide temporary relief from the heat. Despite the expected showers, temperatures are likely to rise again from the following day.
Rain accompanied by thunder is also expected in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where unstable weather conditions may continue.
Meanwhile, Karachi experienced cloudy skies and light drizzle, making the weather more pleasant. The city's current temperature is around 30°C, while the maximum temperature is expected to reach 36°C later in the day.
The Met Office said Karachi will remain partly cloudy and humid during daylight hours, with humidity recorded at 78 percent. Westerly winds are blowing at approximately 19 kilometres per hour. However, no heavy rainfall is expected in the city during the coming week.
Weather experts have advised citizens to stay hydrated, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak afternoon hours and follow official weather advisories, especially in areas where thunderstorms are forecast.
