Heat and humidity to grip most parts of Pakistan
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather across most parts of the country. Humidity is also expected to remain high, making conditions feel even hotter, especially in the plains.
The Met Office said rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms is likely in some upper regions and a few districts of Punjab during the evening and night. Islamabad and its surrounding areas are expected to remain hot and humid throughout the day. Authorities have advised people to avoid unnecessary exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during the hottest hours.
Most districts of Punjab will continue to experience hot and dry weather, with humid conditions adding to the discomfort. However, isolated areas of Sialkot and Narowal may receive rain accompanied by gusty winds, dust storms, and thunderstorms later in the day.
Most districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to remain hot and dry. Lowland areas will experience severe humidity, while upper districts may see partly cloudy skies after noon, with a chance of changing weather. In Sindh, hot, dry, and humid conditions are expected to persist. Coastal areas may remain partly cloudy, but no widespread rainfall is forecast.

The Met Office has advised citizens, especially children, elderly people, and those with underlying health conditions, to take precautionary measures. People have been urged to drink plenty of water, avoid unnecessary outdoor activities, and stay out of direct sunlight as much as possible.
