Woman attacked with acid in Karachi, police investigation continues
The case was registered at Clifton Police Station on the complaint of the injured woman, identified as Mumtaz.
According to the FIR, the incident happened on a street near the Munawar Filter Plant. The woman told police that she was returning home after work when the attacker approached her.
She said the man suddenly threw acid at her before running away from the scene. The incident reportedly took place at around 1 pm.
Woman suffers injuries in acid attack
The victim suffered burn injuries to her face, arms and other parts of her body following the attack.
Mumtaz told investigators that she did not know the attacker but would be able to identify him if she saw him again.
Police have started investigating the incident and are making efforts to identify and arrest the suspect. Officials are also expected to examine available evidence and gather information from the area.
The case has raised fresh concern over attacks involving acid, particularly because the suspect managed to escape after the incident.

Police search for unidentified suspect
